Shabby Chic Dresser

I was able to sell this dresser this weekend. Sold it for $65! Yahoo, some additional money for our Christmas vacation fund! Here's a before and after picture.

The Weekend Project Reveal!

Last week I posted the "before" pictures of my weekend project. Today I am posting the "after" pictures. The "window/mirror" is not yet completely finished because I still have to add some "finishing" touches. So here is the "semi-after" picture of the "window/mirror" and the finished product of the nightstand.

Here's a wonderful find at Craig's List last weekend. It was being given for free because it has a crack (see lines on the rightmost top corner). When I got it, I didn't know if I was going to cover it up with nice wallpaper material or a picture of Paris (a place I've been wanting to go back to, but with hubby this time). The small side table was obtained about a year ago, but I just never got around to completing the project. Good thing, because I got some very good ideas from the internet on how to "finish" these projects. Stay tuned!

4th of July "Spring" Cleaning

Before picture of drawer # 1: this was such a messy drawer with the manuals, birthday candles, pens & take out menus. With a little bit of 4th of July "Spring" Cleaning, I was able to transform it into...

...this!














Here's Drawer # 2: this drawer is full of packing tape, masking tape, scissors, tape measure, ribbons, sponges, screw driver. With a little bit of imagination, I took a USPS box and some old gift boxes and transformed the drawer into....








...this!!!














All I needed was some old gift boxes, scotch tape, scissors & cutting blade, USPS shipping box (that I cut up & made into a box), wrapping paper to wrap the USPS box. What a productive way to spend the 4th of July morning. Looking forward to the fireworks tonight!

I had an old dresser and mirror that didn't go well with my shabby chic furniture, so I decided to do a weekend project on it. I just painted it white with some country French blue accents.

Shabby Chic Nightstand

This nightstand was formerly light brown and was very dusty and dirty when the former owner gave it away. With just a little TLC, I was able to transform it into a pretty nightstand.
Perfect for a Shabby Chic bedroom!

White Beaded Chair

I saw this brown wooden chair & knew I could make it look pretty with just a little coat of white paint .
I love the bead carving on the seat of the chair. Really great detail! ***$$$***
